Job Title: Dental Hygienist
Location: Buford, GA
Job Type: Part-Time, Hourly-Non-Exempt

You are a certified dental hygienist with experience performing oral prophylaxis, examining patients for signs of oral diseases, educating patients on proper oral hygiene practices, and assisting the dentist during procedures. You will work closely with our team of dental professionals to ensure that our patients receive the best possible care.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform oral prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, and fluoride treatments on patients
Examine patients for signs of oral diseases such as gingivitis and periodontitis
Take and develop dental X-rays
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and provide guidance on how to maintain good oral health
Assist the dentist during procedures such as fillings, extractions, and root canals
Sterilize dental instruments and equipment
Maintain patient records and charting accurately and thoroughly
Promote and educate patients on the importance of maintaining regular dental appointments
Adhere to OSHA, HIPPA, and clinic safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Participate in training and development programs offered by the clinic or external providers.
Stay up-to-date with industry developments, trends, and best practices.
Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

Active Dental Hygiene License with 1 years of experience.
Graduated from an accredited Dental Hygiene program
Excellent communication skills and ability to educate patients on oral hygiene practices
Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and sterilization techniques
Proficient in taking and developing dental X-rays
Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills
Strong commitment to our values of dedication, positivity, ownership, proactivity and solution-oriented mindset.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment, take initiative, and problem-solving.
Must have reliable transportation and attendance.
Experience working with digital dental records preferred
Familiarity with dental practice management software
