Job Description
Overview
The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice. This position requires a blend of administrative skills, customer service expertise, and knowledge of dental terminology and procedures. You will be responsible for managing patient relations, coordinating appointments, handling billing and insurance claims, and ensuring the overall efficiency of the dental practice.
Key Responsibilities
· Patient Coordination: Greet patients, manage patient check-in and check-out processes, and maintain patient records. Ensure patients feel welcome and comfortable.
· Appointment Scheduling: Coordinate and schedule appointments, manage the dental practice calendar, and handle rescheduling and cancellations efficiently.
· Billing and Insurance: Process patient billing, handle insurance claims, verify patient insurance coverage, and manage accounts receivable.
· Office Management: Help esure the front office is organized, maintain office supplies, oversee office equipment, and handle administrative tasks.
· Customer Service: Address patient inquiries, resolve complaints, and provide information about treatments and procedures.
· Communication: Coordinate with dental staff, relay important information, and ensure effective communication within the practice.
· Compliance: Ensure compliance with dental practice regulations and HIPAA guidelines.
· Marketing: Assist in marketing efforts, manage social media accounts, and promote dental services.
Qualifications and Skills
· Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in business administration or healthcare management is preferred.
· Experience: Previous experience in a dental office; managerial experience is a plus.
· Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, excellent communication and customer service skills, proficiency in dental software (OpenDental exp a plus) and computer applications.
· Knowledge: Familiarity with dental terminology, procedures, and insurance processes.
· Personal Attributes: Detail-oriented, empathetic, problem-solving mindset, ability to work well under pressure.
Work Environment
This role requires a balance of desk work and patient interaction and may involve occasional evening or weekend hours.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $42.00 per hour
Expected hours: 38 per week
