Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our endodontic multi location practice. As a Dental Assistant, your role will involve assisting with endodontic procedures, maintaining patient records, and ensuring a clean and sterile environment. This is a 4- day work week with a great benefit package. Must be willing to travel to all locations: Greensboro, Winston-Salem, High Point, Asheboro and Kernersville.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary equipment is ready
- Assist the dentist during procedures by handing them instruments, suctioning, and providing support as needed
- Take dental x-rays as directed by the dentist
- Provide post-operative instructions to patients regarding RCT care
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and sterile work environment
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a dental assisting program required
- X-Ray certification required
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments
- Proficiency in medical documentation and record keeping
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with patients of all ages
- Experience with electronic dental record systems is preferred
