Job Description
1. Clinical Support: - Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures. - Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment. - Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays). - Provide post-operative instructions as directed by the dentist. - Ensure patient comfort and manage anxiety before, during, and after dental treatment. 2. Patient Care: - Welcome patients and prepare them for treatment. - Record patient medical histories and update records. - Assist in managing dental emergencies. - Educate patients on oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative care. 3. Administrative Duties: - Schedule patient appointments as necessary - Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy. - Manage inventory and order dental supplies as needed. 4. Compliance and Safety: - Adhere to all relevant dental regulations, guidelines, and standards. - Follow strict infection control and occupational health and safety protocols. - Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and maintained. 5. Professional Development: - Stay updated on the latest advancements in dental assisting practices, technologies, and best practices. - Engage in continuing education opportunities to enhance professional skills and knowledge. - Maintain active membership in relevant professional organizations.
