Job Description
Job Overview:We are looking for a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting the dentist and ensuring top-notch patient care.
Duties:- Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures, ensuring cleanliness and organization.- Assist the dentist during treatments by handing instruments, suctioning, and comforting patients.- Take and process dental X-rays accurately.- Maintain detailed and accurate patient medical records and vital signs.- Provide clear post-operative instructions to patients for their at-home care.- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment to uphold strict hygiene standards.- Manage inventory of dental supplies, restocking as necessary to ensure smooth operations.- Adhere to HIPAA regulations to safeguard patient confidentiality.
Skills:- Proficiency in four-handed dentistry techniques.- Experience with medical records and documentation.- Knowledge of prosthodontics procedures.- Familiarity with dental practice management systems.- Competence in medical imaging processes.- Understanding of general dentistry practices.- Ability to work effectively with pediatric patients.- Strong anatomy knowledge for dental procedures.- Familiarity with medical coding practices.
