DENTAL ASSISTANT

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE: Provides chairside assistance to the dentist, takes radiographs, scans patientsâ dentition, takes impressions, ensures infection control protocols are met and performs various other duties that are essential to patient care.
ESSENTIAL ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Expose, and evaluate dental radiographs
Perform infection control and occupational safety procedures
Provide patient education
Maintains strict patient confidentiality both inside and outside of the office.
Take preliminary medical histories and vital signs to be reviewed by the dentist.
Take impressions for study casts, diagnostic casts, space maintainers, orthodontic appliances, and occlusal guards
Other dental supportive services authorized by the licensed dentist while under the direct personal supervision of the licensed dentist, provided that such other dental supportive services are not excluded
Participates in office marketing campaigns, social media marketing, ground marketing and other activities that positively promote the practice.
Qualifications:
One year experience is required
