**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in dental terminology and anatomy knowledge, as well as the ability to effectively manage medical imaging and vital signs. Additionally, they will be responsible for maintaining HIPAA compliance and accurately documenting patient records. The successful candidate will also be knowledgeable in endodontics and have a thorough understanding of aseptic technique and infection control systems.
**Duties:**
- Assist dentists and hygienists during patient exams and procedures, ensuring a clean and organized work environment.
- Manage medical imaging equipment and ensure it is functioning properly.
- Monitor and record patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and oxygen saturation.
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical records, adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
- Provide support with endodontic procedures, including anesthesia administration and radiograph exposure.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of aseptic technique and infection control systems to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients.
- Assist with cleaning and disinfecting dental equipment and instruments.
- Maintain an organized and clean treatment room, including the removal of trash and recyclables.
**Experience:**
- Previous experience as a dental assistant is required.
- Knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy is essential.
- Experience with medical imaging equipment and vital signs is required.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation is necessary.
- Certification in aseptic technique and infection control systems is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for providing patient care and working effectively with the dental team.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
