Job Description
*DUTIES*We are seeking an EXPERIENCED, skilled, and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team. As a Dental Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and administrative support in our dental office. You will be responsible for triaging patient's needs over the phone to determine what type of appointment they require, as well as making appointments in the hygiene and Doctor's schedule. You will be working on computers in a timely manner, running payments, and processing billing information. You will be expected to have a professional, patient-centered approach when interacting with patients on the phone and in the office. Front desk staff is in charge of communicating with support staff in order to facilitate a smooth working flow. Front desk works very closely with dental insurance coverage and benefits. This entails communicating with insurance companies regarding claims, processing explanation of benefits, as well as submitting narratives and appeals in certain instances.
Applicant Qualifications:
-Must have a high school diploma or higher
-Dental Office Receptionist Experience is Required
-Knowledge of Eaglesoft Dental Software is Preferred
Responsibilities:- Greet and welcome patients as they arrive at the dental office- Schedule and confirm appointments using dental scheduling software- Answer phone calls and address patient inquiries or concerns- Collect and update patient information, including medical records and insurance details- Verify insurance coverage and process insurance claims- Assist with billing and financial transactions, including processing payments- Maintain a clean and organized reception area- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure efficient patient flow
Skills:- Proficient in using front desk software and dental scheduling systems- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor- Knowledge of medical records management and appointment scheduling processes- Familiarity with dental office procedures and terminology is a plus- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 â 40 per week
