Job Description
Job OverviewWe are seeking a Dental Hygienist to join our team in providing exceptional dental care for both Wednesday 8-5 and Friday 8-2 or either one or the other. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient education and preventive care. This role involves working closely with dentists and dental assistants to ensure the highest standards of infection control and patient comfort.
Duties
Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Take medical histories and assess patients' oral health status.
Utilize medical imaging systems to capture diagnostic images as needed.
Assist in the development of individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments.
Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices, technologies, and regulations.
Requirements
Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Familiarity with dental clinic operations and medical terminology related to dentistry.
Proficiency in infection control procedures and safety protocols.
Experience with medical imaging systems is a plus.
Strong understanding of anatomy as it relates to oral health.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to educate patients effectively.
Previous experience in dental assisting is advantageous but not required.
