Job Description
OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and assisting the dental team in delivering high-quality services. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring that all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Maintain accurate medical records and patient information, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulations.
Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans.
Manage sterilization of instruments and maintain cleanliness of the dental clinic.
Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the office.
Monitor vital signs of patients as required during procedures.
Support pediatric dentistry efforts by creating a welcoming environment for young patients.
Utilize 3D scanners for imaging as part of treatment planning when necessary.
Collaborate with the dental receptionist to ensure smooth operation of the clinic.
Qualifications
Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry is essential.
Experience or familiarity with pediatric dentistry is preferred.
Strong understanding of anatomy relevant to dental procedures.
Proficiency in managing medical records accurately.
Background in general dentistry practices is highly desirable.
Familiarity with prosthodontics is a plus.
Experience using 3D scanners for dental imaging is advantageous.
Ability to take vital signs accurately and respond appropriately to patient needs.
Previous experience working in a dental clinic setting is preferred but not mandatory.

Pay: $21.17 - $22.44 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
