**Overview:** We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dental Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care and support our dental office's day-to-day operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about dentistry and is looking to grow their skills in a fast-paced environment. **Duties:** - Greet patients and families, answer phone calls, and respond to emails in a professional and friendly manner. - Manage patient records, including updating patient information, scheduling appointments, and preparing for procedures. - Verify patient insurance and coordinate with insurance providers as needed. - Utilize medical scheduling software to schedule appointments and maintain a smooth patient flow. - Coordinate with dentists and hygienists to ensure timely appointments and efficient patient care. - Perform medical collection duties, including sending and following up on outstanding invoices. - Organize and maintain patient files, both physical and digital, in accordance with HIPAA regulations. - Maintain a clean and organized office environment, including reception areas, exam rooms, and storage areas. - Assist with administrative tasks, such as filing and data entry, using computerized systems like Athenahealth. - Provide patients with educational resources and support to help them maintain good oral health. **Experience:** - Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a medical office setting. - Familiarity with medical receptionist software and insurance verification processes. - Strong computer skills and ability to learn new systems quickly. - Excellent communication and organizational skills. - Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. - High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher preferred. **Skills:** - Experience in a medical office environment. - Proficiency with insurance verification and medical scheduling software. - Strong office management skills. - Ability to computerize patient information and maintain accurate records. - Familiarity with medical collection processes. - Experience with medical receptionist software and Athenahealth. - Excellent communication and organizational skills. - Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.

Pay: $21.58 - $30.00 per hour
