Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Patient Care
Greet and prepare patients for dental procedures.
Ensure patient comfort before, during, and after procedures.
Provide patients with oral hygiene and postoperative care instructions.
Clinical Support
Assist the dentist during procedures by handing instruments, suctioning, and maintaining a sterile environment.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
Take and process X-rays as instructed by the dentist.
Administrative Duties
Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment notes.
Manage inventory by ordering and restocking dental supplies.
Instrument and Equipment Handling
Clean, sterilize, and organize dental instruments and equipment.
Ensure equipment is functioning properly and report any malfunctions.
Education and Communication
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care.
Communicate effectively with the dental team to ensure smooth workflow and patient satisfaction.
Regulatory Compliance
Adhere to infection control protocols and safety standards.
Ensure compliance with all dental practice policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Skills
Certification or diploma in dental assisting (preferred).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with dental software and X-ray equipment.
Commitment to maintaining a positive and professional work environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
