Job Description
Position Summary
Dental Hygienists help build and maintain trust with our community as well as help the dental team ensure the highest quality of oral hygiene, optimal treatment planning, and maintain accurate records for our patients.
This role involves performing thorough dental cleanings of plaque and calculus, conducting assessments of oral health/nutrition, and providing education on effective oral hygiene practices. This position requires someone with high energy, a great attitude, acute attention to detail and a willingness to learn all the intricacies of dentistry.
Salary and Compensation: $30-50 /hr

Franklin Dental Care and Dentures is a small practice (4 operatories) located in the city of Franklin on 314 S River Street. We pride ourselves in being one of the largest providers for medicaid patients in western Ohio and mostly take Caresource. Objectives
Deliver Quality Care: Provide thorough dental cleanings and preventative treatments to maintain and improve patients' oral health.
Patient Education: Educate patients on effective oral hygiene practices, nutrition, and preventive care to promote lifelong dental health.
Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive assessments of patientsââ¬â¢ oral health, including taking medical histories and performing periodontal evaluations.
Collaboration: Work closely with the dental team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
Income Per Patient: Understand what carries look like, how the dentist's treatment plan: crowns, root canals, partial/complete dentures, whitenting, orthodontics, implants, and other procedures that help the practice generate revenue.
Maintain Compliance: Adhere to infection control protocols and safety standards to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Record Keeping: Accurately document patient information, treatment provided, and recommendations in accordance with practice policies.
Continuing Education: Stay updated with the latest dental hygiene techniques, technologies, best practices to enhance patient care, as well as the necessary education required by the practice.

Knowledge of medications that pertain to dental treatment
Dentrix
Education and Experience
Associateââ¬â¢s degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program.
Bachelorââ¬â¢s degree in Dental Hygiene or related field is a plus (if applicable).
Current state dental hygienist license, with certifications in CPR and any required local anesthesia or sedation administration.
Previous experience in a dental practice is preferred but not mandatory; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
Familiarity with Dentrix and electronic health records (EHR)
Commitment to ongoing professional development and completion of required continuing education credits to maintain licensure.
Physical Requirements
Mobility: Ability to stand for 3 hours and move easily around tight treatment areas to provide care to patients.
Manual Dexterity: Excellent hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills to perform precise cleanings and handle instruments effectively.
Vision: Adequate vision to examine oral cavities, read charts, and operate dental equipment.
Lifting: Ability to lift and position patients as needed, including assisting individuals with mobility challenges.
Endurance: Capability to maintain focus and energy for 4 hour chunks of time of
