Licensed Dental Hygienist Job Summary: Subcontractor shall provide prophylactic dental services and promotes oral health wellness
Licensed Dental Hygienist Duties:
Oral hygiene instructions including chair-side counseling on brushing, flossing and nutrition.
Perform prophies, scale and root plane.
Education on hazards and risks of smokeless tobacco.
Process own instruments and tray set-ups.
Chart documentation (existing restorations, missing teeth, lesions), and
Classifying occlusion.
Work closely with the Wellness Director and Center Dentist to ensure the previously listed services are provided to Job Corps students.
Collect data and prepare reports as required by the Center Director and/or Department of Labor.
Cooperate with Corporate and Regional Office center assessment.
Maintaining the accuracy and confirmation of all required oral health and wellness records when they are in the subcontractorââ¬â¢s presence.
Providing support to the students in acquiring the oral health-related skills, knowledge and attitudes that will make them employable.
Developing and complying with Job Corps infection control policies and procedures.
Works to ensure performance management standards are met.
Ensures that required property (equipment) controls are adhered to.
Maintains current knowledge in CPR and First Aid
Ensures that the dental facility is clean and safe at all times.
Monitorââ¬â¢s area of responsibility to ensure timely and high-quality services.
Works toward meeting performance management goals
Follows CDSS plan and Code of Conduct system daily.
Complies with all DOL guidelines, OFCCP regulation, Job Corps notices and bulletins, and Center policies and procedures.
Maintains good housekeeping in all areas and complies with safety practices.
Models, mentors, monitors appropriate Career Success Standards.
Participation in PRH mandated staff training is mandatory.
Provide a Dental readiness inspection within 14 days after the student's arrival at the center. Document this exam on the entrance physical exam form as directed by the Center Dentist.
Perform preliminary oral examination including bitewing and periodical x-rays as directed by the Center Dentist.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, and individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Experience: One year of related experience preferred.
Education: Associates Degree from accredited college.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Active unrestricted license to practice in the state where the center is located.
Valid State Driverââ¬â¢s License.
