Job Description
OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, ensuring optimal oral health, and maintaining a welcoming environment for our patients. As a Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for performing dental cleanings, educating patients on oral hygiene practices, and assisting the dental team in delivering comprehensive care.
Duties
Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess patients' oral health.
Document patient medical records accurately and maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist in four-handed dentistry procedures alongside the dentist, ensuring efficient workflow.
Review documentation related to patient care and treatment plans.
Provide support in pediatric dentistry, catering to the unique needs of younger patients.
Collaborate with the dental office team to enhance patient experience and satisfaction.
Requirements
Valid dental hygiene license in the state of practice.
Proficiency in using Dentrix or similar dental software for patient management.
Strong knowledge of general dentistry practices and infection control standards.
Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients about their oral health.
Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism.
Experience with medical records management and documentation review is preferred.
