Job OverviewScarborough Family Dentistry and Dr. Kristian Richardson are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team! The ideal candidate is one who enjoys caring for patients of all ages, who is comfortable providing patient education, performing routine cleanings, periodontal therapy with local anesthesia and placing sealants. We are a small (out of all insurance network) office who strive to provide the highest standard of care in a friendly and professional environment. Ideally looking for a full time candidate (Monday - Thursday) but may be open to part time hours. Duties

Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history and oral health evaluations.
Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing procedures using appropriate techniques.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist in the development of individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
Utilize medical imaging techniques to support diagnostic processes.
Maintain aseptic technique and adhere to infection control protocols in the dental office.
Collaborate with dentists and other staff members
Document patient records accurately for efficient management of patient information.
Provide care for pediatric patients with a focus on creating a comfortable environment for children.

Qualifications

Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Proficient in medical coding and documentation practices related to dental procedures.
Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control measures within a dental office setting.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively educate patients about their oral health.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism at all times.

Pay: $44.00 - $50.00 per hour
