Position Overview:
As a pivotal member of our team, your role will encompass a broad spectrum of responsibilities aimed at ensuring the seamless operation and efficiency of our dental practices. Key duties and expectations include:
Compliance and Safety:
Adhere strictly to all laws, regulations, and guidelines, including OSHA, HIPAA, universal precautions, sharps disposal, proper use of protective equipment, and office policies/procedures.
Seek clarification from the supervisor when faced with confusing or conflicting guidance.

Operatory Management:
Ensure each operatory is cleaned, sanitized, and stocked with necessary instruments and supplies before patient arrival.
Maintain focus on the patient experience, particularly with new patients, ensuring a positive experience.
Patient Interaction and Support:
Communicate with patients to ensure their comfort and a sense of being welcomed and appreciated.
Review patient history, document findings in charts, and provide comprehensive post-operative dental instructions as directed by the clinician.
Clinical Support:
Take radiographs (x-rays) following established guidelines.
Prepare patients for examination and treatment.
Assist clinicians in providing treatment.
Prepare and take alginate impressions as necessary.
Operational Efficiency:
Set up trays correctly for scheduled procedures.
Assist other dental assistants, hygienists, and office staff to ensure smooth patient flow.
Prepare lab cases for the next day's schedule.
Enter dental supply orders into the system for review/approval.
Facility Maintenance:
Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of instruments, equipment, and facilities.
Sterilize instruments and disinfect operatories between patients.
Emergency Response:
Assist with dental/medical emergencies as necessary.
Communication and Problem Resolution:
Address problems and recommend effective solutions with the work supervisor.
Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
Professionalism:
Always meet the standards of professional and ethical conduct.
Additional Responsibilities:
Cross-train to assist with other job roles.
Schedule patients for appointments.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:

Qualifications:
High school diploma.
X-ray certification.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $24.00 per hour
