Job Description
Job OverviewWe are seeking a compassionate and skilled Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong background in dental assisting. Must be x-ray certified. This role involves supporting the pediatric dentist in providing high-quality dental care, ensuring a comfortable and positive experience for our young patients. This is a practice with multiple locations in Northeast Philadelphia and in East Norriton. Willingness to travel between the two offices for training is a must. This is a position that provides opportunities for professional growth.
Duties
Assist the pediatric dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring the comfort and safety of patients.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and setting up necessary equipment.
Take X-rays as needed, adhering to safety protocols.
Maintain accurate medical documentation and medical records for each patient visit.
Help educate patients and their families about proper dental hygiene practices.
Manage patient flow and schedule appointments using Dentrix or similar software.
Requirements
Previous experience as a dental assistant is preferred, particularly in a pediatric setting.
Proficiency in using dental software such as Dentrix is highly desirable.
Knowledge of medical documentation practices and maintaining patient medical records is essential.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with children and their parents.
Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Certification in radiology (X-Ray) is preferred but not mandatory.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
