Job Description
OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled General Dentist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing high-quality dental care and ensuring patient comfort. As a Dentist, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating various dental conditions, performing procedures, and educating patients on oral health practices. Your expertise in general dentistry and specialized areas will contribute to the overall health and well-being of our patients.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive dental examinations and assessments to diagnose oral health issues.
Perform a variety of dental procedures, including but not limited to dental extractions, fillings, crowns, and root canals.
Administer local anesthesia as needed for patient comfort during procedures.
Develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs and preferences.
Educate patients on preventive care, oral hygiene practices, and treatment options.
Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Ensure adherence to infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
Collaborate with dental hygienists, assistants, and other staff members to provide exceptional patient care.
Stay updated on advancements in dentistry through continuing education and professional development.
Experience
Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
Valid state dental license with no restrictions.
Proficiency in medical terminology related to dentistry.
Knowledge of infection control procedures and protocols.
Experience with general dentistry practices; additional experience in pediatric dentistry or prosthodontics is a plus.
Familiarity with dental software such as Dentrix is preferred.
Strong understanding of anatomy related to dental health.
