We are a Modern General Dentistry office in Santa Clara seeking a part-time/ full-time Dental Assistant. Experience is preferred, but we are willing to train those eager to learn and grow with our practice. Wonderful opportunity to be part of a winning team in a state-of-the-art practice. The ideal candidate must be reliable, friendly, organized, confident & a self starter.
Duties (Some training can be provided for the right candidate, Interns welcome )
Must be Available on Saturdays.
- Welcome and Greet patients
- Set up rooms
- Assist dentists during procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating their needs- Prepare patients for dental work by taking vital signs and reviewing their medical history
- Take Digital x-rays
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental clinic
- Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment
- Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques efficiently
Comfortable working cross-functionally with the front (will train as needed) and back office
Valid CPR and x-ray certificate, and familiarity with digital x-rays
Warm, caring, positive attitude, and professional demeanor.
Great customer service and communication skills. Front office experience with scheduling is a plus
Team player who is self-motivated and works well in a fast paced environment
Knowledge of computers and ability to learn software programs
Flexible working hours. Excellent communication, telephone, and customer service skills
