Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction while promoting good oral health. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with the dental team to deliver exceptional care and assist in various procedures.
Responsibilities
Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Assist in the documentation review of patient records to ensure accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Collaborate with dentists in providing comprehensive care, including four-handed dentistry techniques.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment within the dental clinic.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.
Provide support in pediatric dentistry as needed, ensuring a positive experience for young patients.
Skills
Proficient in dental terminology and anatomy knowledge.
Experience in general dentistry practices and pediatric dentistry is preferred.
Familiarity with Dentrix software for patient management and documentation.
Strong skills in dental assisting, including chairside support during procedures.
Ability to perform documentation review accurately while adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients about their oral health.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to providing quality patient care.
