Job Description
Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental clinic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures, as well as proficiency in relevant software and techniques.
Duties
Assist the dentist during examinations and dental procedures, ensuring a comfortable environment for patients.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following aseptic techniques.
Take medical imaging such as X-rays and ensure proper documentation of results.
Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records using Dentrix software.
Monitor vital signs and assist in managing patient care before, during, and after procedures.
Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions.
Support the administrative team with scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and handling medical coding when necessary.
Ensure compliance with health regulations and safety standards within the dental clinic.
Qualifications
Previous experience in dental assisting or a related field is preferred but not required.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry.
Familiarity with Dentrix or similar dental practice management software is a plus.
Proficient in medical imaging techniques and understanding of basic medical documentation practices.
Ability to take vital signs accurately and provide compassionate patient care.
Knowledge of aseptic technique to maintain a sterile working environment.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.

Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
