We are hiring a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team and provide excellent support to our patients and clinical team.
Job Overview:
As a Dental Assistant at Ozark Prosthodontics, you will play a key role in assisting with clinical and surgical procedures, ensuring that our patients receive the highest level of care. Your expertise will help ensure smooth operations in the office, from preparing treatment rooms to sterilizing instruments and assisting during complex procedures. You will also maintain patient records and communicate effectively with patients to ensure their comfort and understanding.
Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Assistance:
Assist the prosthodontist and surgical team during procedures, including restorative and surgical treatments.
Prepare treatment rooms, ensuring they are fully stocked, sterilized, and organized for each procedure.
Support patients during procedures, making them feel comfortable and ensuring they understand each step of their treatment.
Take impressions, digital scans, CT, and radiographs as required.
Patient Care & Communication:
Establish and maintain strong, empathetic communication with patients, ensuring they feel at ease throughout their visit.
Provide patients with pre and post-operative instructions and care information.
Answer questions and address concerns regarding treatments, procedures, and aftercare.
Sterilization & Infection Control:
Ensure strict adherence to sterilization protocols for all instruments and equipment in the office.
Maintain a clean and safe clinical environment, following all OSHA and infection control guidelines.
Clinical and Surgical Notes:
Accurately record and maintain patient charts, including clinical and surgical notes.
Ensure that all relevant information, including treatment plans, procedures, and patient history, is up to date in the system.
Assist with case documentation and management and tracking to ensure consistency and continuity of care.
Organizational Support:
Maintain an organized, efficient, and clean work environment, ensuring all instruments and materials are readily available.
Manage patient flow, schedule appointments, and provide any necessary support in coordinating treatments.
Assist in inventory management, ensuring all supplies are stocked and ready for use.

Qualifications:

Experience & Certification:
Certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA).
Looking for individuals who are eager to learn and grow in a professional environment, no previous experience necessary
Skills & Abilities:
Exceptional patient communication skills, with the ability to create a comfortable and welcoming environment for all patients.
Strong attention to detail, particularly when assisting in surgical procedures and maintaining accurate clinical notes.
Proficient in sterilization and infection control procedures.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask effectively.
Ability to stay calm under pressure and handle challenging situations with professionalism.
Strong proficiency with dental software and practice management systems.
