Job Description
Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures, as well as the ability to maintain a clean and organized clinical environment.
Pay is negotiable depending on experience (DOE).

Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and dental equipment according to established protocols.
Take and record vital signs, medical history, and other relevant patient information.
Manage medical and dental documentation accurately, including patient records and treatment plans.
Perform dental radiography as needed, adhering to safety standards.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Maintain inventory of dental supplies and assist with ordering when necessary.
Utilize dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
Support pediatric patients with care tailored to their needs in a friendly manner.
Qualifications
Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
Familiarity with dental terminology, general dentistry practices, and pediatric dentistry is highly desirable.
Proficiency in medical/dental documentation and coding is an asset.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient comfort and communication.
Must be able to pass any required background checks or certifications as mandated by the practice.
