Job OverviewWe are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastically skilled Dental Hygienist to join our growing team and dental practice. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while delivering excellent patient care, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness, and staying on top of evolving dental technology and procedures. Responsibilities
· Perform thorough cleanings and routine hygiene treatments (scaling, root planing, polishing, fluoride treatments, ).
· Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including oral health evaluations, medical histories, periodontal charting including dental radiographs (X-rays).
· Educate patients on oral hygiene care and provide tailored advice for individual needs., and assist in the development of treatment plans with the dentist.
· Stay current with updates to infection control and safety protocols, ensuring a sterile and organized treatment environment.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
· Participate in patient care coordination and follow-up appointments.
· Ensure smooth patient flow in the practice by managing time efficiently and keeping to their schedule.
· Work collaboratively with the entire dental team to provide exceptional patient experiences.
· Handle administrative tasks such as patient reminders, scheduling, and managing supplies as needed.
Qualifications
· Active Dental Hygienist license in Ohio and current CPR certification preferred.
· Strong knowledge of dental hygiene procedures, tools, and equipment.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy practice setting.
· A team player who enjoys working in a collaborative environment, strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Experience with various dental treatments, including scaling and root planing, a plus.
· Prior experience working in a fast-paced or multi-provider practice is highly desirable. (preferred, not required)
· Familiarity with digital radiography and dental management software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dentrix).
