Job Description
Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and assisting in various dental procedures. This role requires a strong commitment to patient education and comfort, as well as adherence to infection control protocols.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations to determine oral health status.
Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing of teeth using appropriate tools and techniques.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient treatments and progress.
Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure efficiency and patient comfort.
Implement aseptic techniques and infection control measures in accordance with established protocols.
Provide support in pediatric dentistry by creating a welcoming environment for younger patients.
Review documentation for accuracy and completeness before submitting for medical coding purposes.
Requirements
Valid dental hygiene license in the state of practice.
Proficiency in general dentistry practices with a focus on patient care.
Experience with medical records management and documentation review is preferred.
Knowledge of infection control standards and aseptic techniques is essential.
Strong communication skills to effectively educate patients about their oral health.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while providing exceptional patient care.
Previous experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus but not required.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
