Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented dental hygienist to perform preventive dental care and educate patients on maintaining good oral health. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for performing routine cleanings, taking X-rays, assisting in the development of treatment plans, and ensuring the overall comfort of our patients. We are looking for someone who is patient-focused, reliable, and passionate about improving the oral health of our community.

Responsibilities:

• Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing of teeth
• Take and develop dental X-rays
• Chart conditions of decay and disease
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Assist in identifying and diagnosing oral conditions under the direction of the dentist
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper documentation
• Sterilize and disinfect dental instruments and work areas
• Stay current with industry developments and advancements

Requirements:

• Valid dental hygienist license in California
• Associate’s degree or higher in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and equipment
• Excellent communication and patient care skills
• Ability to work well in a team and independently
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• CPR certification required (or willing to obtain)

Preferred:

• Experience with OpenDental and XDR is a plus.
• Previous experience in a dental office setting
