Job Description
Our office is seeking to fill a full time position.
Responsibilities:- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth- Take digital dental x-rays- Conduct oral cancer screenings- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized oral care instructions- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using Dexis and Daisy- Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment- Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive patient care
Experience:- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a dental hygienist preferred but not required.- Proficiency in using Dexis and Daisy or similar dental software for medical documentation and record keeping- Familiarity with dental assisting procedures and techniques helpful- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry- Ability to perform patient assessments and identify oral health issues- Experience working with electronic medical records systems, such as Daisy- Strong understanding of infection control protocols in a dental office setting
