Job Description
Our pleasant, family-oriented, private general practice in downtown Plymouth is seeking a quality dental hygienist to join our fun, compassionate, and progressive team. We serve all demographics of the population, from preschoolers to senior citizens.
The ideal candidate will have a calm, reassuring and friendly demeanor as well as the ability to multitask. The position is specifically for two Saturdays per month, perfect for the newer hygienist looking for some extra hours or the seasoned retiree who wants to keep their skills sharp without devoting too many hours at the office.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Perform a variety of preventative and periodontal treatments, including prophylaxis, scaling/root planing, and sealants.
Collect medical and dental histories.
Chart hard and soft tissues (periodontal probing, etc.).
Take digital radiographs.
Provide patient education and instructions on home care for people of all ages.
Tear-down, disinfect, and set-up the operatory.
Process and sterilize instruments.
Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide.
Maintain instruments and equipment.
Qualifications and Skills:
Current state dental license is required.
Licenses to administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide are preferred.
Excellent verbal communication skills.
Basic knowledge and understanding of HIPAA privacy rules.
Compensation is based on experienced and benefits (IRA, uniform allowance, CE compensation, vacation time) are offered.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $43.00 - $48.00 per hour
License/Certification:
Registered Dental Hygienist License (Required)
