Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental clinic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their oral health and comfort during visits and must be capable of working as part of a high functioning team. As a Dental Hygienist, you will work closely with dentists and other dental professionals to deliver exceptional patient care in a supportive and professional environment.
Duties
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and periodontal therapy.
Conduct patient assessments, including taking vital signs and reviewing medical history.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of preventive care.
Assist in four-handed dentistry by providing chairside support during procedures.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress.
Utilize aseptic techniques to ensure a safe and sterile environment.
Collaborate with the dental team to develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
Stay updated on medical terminology, medical coding, and medical imaging as they relate to dental care.
Provide care for pediatric patients, ensuring their comfort and understanding of procedures.
Skills
Proficiency in working within a dental office setting, demonstrating familiarity with dental procedures and protocols.
Strong knowledge of four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during patient treatments.
Ability to take vital signs accurately and assess patients' overall health status.
Understanding of medical terminology relevant to dental hygiene practices.
Experience with medical coding for accurate billing and insurance processing.
Familiarity with medical imaging techniques used in dentistry for diagnostic purposes.
Attention to detail in documentation review to maintain accurate patient records.
Experience or training in pediatric dentistry, ensuring effective communication with younger patients.
Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and provide compassionate care.
