Job Title: Dental Assistant
Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures, perform various administrative tasks, and ensure excellent patient care.
Responsibilities:- Assist the dentist during examinations and treatment procedures- Prepare patients for dental work by taking vital signs and reviewing medical history- Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures- Maintain proper patient records and documentation using OpenDental software- Perform X-Rays and process dental images- Ensure compliance with aseptic techniques and infection control protocols- Handling medical coding- Knowledge of pediatric dentistry to support child patients effectively
Requirements:- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or relevant certification- Proficiency in using OpenDental software for patient management- Strong understanding of dental assisting procedures and aseptic techniques- Familiarity with medical coding practices in a dental setting- Ability to take accurate X-Rays and maintain digital records- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and staff- Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dental procedures- Experience or training in pediatric dentistry is a plus
