Job Description
Job Summary:We are seeking a personable, friendly, professional, and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our Dental Family. The ideal candidate will provide quality dental care and oral hygiene services with care to our patients.
Responsibilities:- Conduct dental cleanings (Prophylaxis, Periodontal Maintenance, as well as Scaling and Root Plaining).- Educate patients on oral hygiene home care- Take digital dental x-rays- Maintain and update patient dental records- Administer local anesthetic and apply fluoride treatments- Perform patient assessments and charting
- Maintain dental instruments by loading and unloading the autoclave, and sharpening when needed
- Maintain a clean and friendly work environment.
Skills:- Proficiency in dental hygiene techniques- Understanding of oral anatomy- Ability to assess patient needs and provide appropriate care- Familiarity with aseptic techniques and infection control protocols- Having a caring and compassionate approach to dental treatment- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical record management
