Job Description
Dental Assistant Trainee
Maple Street/Morgan Street Clinic, Columbian Blvd is seeking a Dental Assistant Trainee to work at their Gillespie, Carlinville, and Litchfield Illinois dental clinics. Maple, Morgan Clinics and Columbian Blvd Clinic offers a variety of treatments, including the latest advances in dental therapy, in a relaxed and modern atmosphere. The Dental Assistant is part of the dedicated dental team.
Daily duties for the Dental Assistant Trainee include but are not limited to:Provide chairside assistance for dentists, Records patient medical and dental histories as well as exam notes as dictated by the dentist, maintaining the treatment area by preparing, cleaning, and disinfecting the area before and after each patient appointment, completing all required data entry work in the electronic record, prepare instruments and equipment for sterilization, complete the sterilization and autoclaving procedures,
Provide oral health education to children and families throughout the clinic. Assist in getting as many children, 5 and under, to the clinic for a free varnish.
Other duties and goals may be assigned in support of the clinicâs mission and goals.
Good organization skills, good communication skills and reliability is preferred.
Monday- Friday position, 37.5 hours/ weekly with benefits.
Minimum Acceptable Qualifications:High school graduate or equivalent.No dental experience needed. We will train on the job.
Must be up-to-date on all required vaccinations.
