Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our patient-focused dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures as well as have the professionalism to assist at the front desk when needed. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and excellent communication skills to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow within the office.
Duties

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared in advance.
Take dental radiographs (X-rays).
Maintain accurate medical records and patient charts, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions.
Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow as a dental receptionist when needed.
Perform infection control procedures to maintain a sterile environment in accordance with industry standards.
Stay updated on advancements in dental technology and practices, including familiarity with Dentrix software.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
Familiarity with infection control practices and anatomy knowledge is highly desirable.
Proficiency in using dental software, specifically Dentrix is a plus.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
