Job Description

Hometown Health Center is seeking a skilled and experienced Dentist to join our team at our Dexter, Maine location. As a Dentist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their oral health and well-being. Your primary responsibilities will include diagnosing and treating dental issues, as well as educating patients on proper oral hygiene practices. You will collaborate with a dedicated team of dental professionals to provide comprehensive care to our community.
Hometown Health Center is an NHSC-approved site! Eligible providers may qualify for loan repayment and other NHSC benefits.

Minimum Qualifications:

Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from an accredited dental school
Valid state dental license
Proven experience as a Dentist
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

Specialization in a specific area of dentistry, such as periodontics
Experience with dental implants and other advanced dental procedures
Experience working with pediatric patients

Responsibilities:

Perform dental procedures such as extractions, restorations, impressions, x-rays, and oral exams
Diagnose and treat dental problems, such as cavities, gum disease, and tooth decay
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and provide preventive dental care
Collaborate with other dental professionals to provide comprehensive dental care to patients
Maintain accurate and complete patient records and keep up to date with the latest dental technologies and techniques

Skills:

As a Dentist, you will use your expertise in extractions, restorations, impressions, x-rays, and oral exams to provide high-quality dental care to our patients. You will also use excellent communication and interpersonal skills to educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and collaborate with other dental professionals to provide comprehensive dental care. Additionally, you will stay updated with the latest dental technologies and techniques to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
