Qualifications:
X-ray certification.
Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, BLS and infection control training as required by law.
High school diploma or equivalent.
POSITION SUMMARY
Dental assistant duties as well as front desk duties as needed.
As a dental assistant, you play an important role in our office and perform limited clinical duties under the direction of a dentist. Clinical duties may include equipment preparation and sterilization, preparing patients for treatment, assisting the dentist during treatment, and providing patients with instructions for oral healthcare procedures. May perform administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing, and coding information for insurance purposes. Perform a variety of dental assisting duties while promoting quality dental care for patients and a safe environment of minimal stress. Maintain equipment and inventory, and follow universal precautions and all OSHA requirements. Follows office protocol by maintaining a safe workplace for employees and contractors; maintaining the hazardous chemicals labeling system; adhering to infection control protocol, and the management of all aspects of infectious and/or hazardous waste. Facilitates the work flow and patient flow, patient safety / patient education and participation in treatment acceptance by patients.

Pay: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour
