The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing dental cleanings, periodontal disease maintenance. educating patients on oral hygiene, and assisting the dental team in delivering high-quality care. This role requires proficiency in various dental software and techniques, ensuring a smooth workflow within the clinic.
Duties
Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess patients' oral health.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Take and record vital signs as part of the patient assessment process.
Maintain accurate medical records and update patient information using Dentrix or Open Dental software.
Perform medical imaging as needed to support diagnosis and treatment planning.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a seamless patient experience.
Uphold cleanliness and organization within the dental clinic to promote a safe environment.
Qualifications
Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations.
Experience with Dentrix or is preferred or Open Dental software. but not mandatory.
Knowledge of vital signs monitoring and medical record management.
Strong communication skills to effectively educate patients on oral health.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
Previous experience in dental assisting or a clinical setting is beneficial.
Commitment to providing excellent patient care with a compassionate approach.
