Job Description
Hourly rates start at $25 / hour. Candidates with meaningful experience can earn higher compensation.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert chairside assistance during pediatric dental procedures, including sealants, fluoride treatments, extractions, stainless steel crowns, space maintainers, and pulpotomies.
Mentor and train junior pediatric dental assistants, ensuring adherence to best practices in pediatric patient care, behavioral management, and infection control.
Create a welcoming and child-friendly environment, using effective behavioral management techniques to reduce dental anxiety and build trust with young patients.
Take and process high-quality pediatric dental radiographs (X-rays) while ensuring comfort and safety for young patients.
Educate parents and children on proper oral hygiene, diet, and post-treatment care, emphasizing long-term preventive care strategies.
Assist in the fabrication, fitting, and maintenance of space maintainers and other pediatric appliances.
Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, charting treatment progress and monitoring oral health outcomes.
Ensure strict infection control and sterilization protocols, maintaining a safe and sanitary environment for all patients.
Collaborate with pediatric dentists, hygienists, and front office staff to streamline workflow and enhance patient care efficiency.
Stay updated on the latest pediatric dental techniques, sedation protocols, and emerging dental technologies.
