JOB CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt
Expected Schedule: 32 hrs, M-F (4 days/wk or 2 half days); Open to Part Time Applicants
Expected schedule can change with business needs; Our practice has two locations: Mankato and New Ulm, travel between both locations may be required
Starting pay based on experience.
POSITION SUMMARY: Performs a variety of dental assisting duties, within compliance of state regulations, to promote quality dental care for patients in a stress-free, comfortable environment. Assists the doctor, teaches patients how to care for their teeth, communicates effectively with patients, maintains equipment and inventory, and follows universal precautions and all OSHA requirements to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Must be a team player who communicates well.
DUTIES :
Take x-rays as needed
Prepare and assist patients for diagnosis or treatment
Perform post-operative patient care
Perform instrument sterilization and infection control in the office
Clean and stock clinical area
Control inventory of clinical supplies
Ability to maintain outgoing, friendly attitude with patients and staff even under pressure
Ability to complete tasks within time frame
Ability to accept and follow instructions from supervisor
Other responsibilities as needed
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be in good physical condition and able to withstand the stress and demands of an active practice. Must be able to endure long hours of standing, walking, stooping, bending, and sitting. Manual dexterity, good eye-hand coordination, and adequate vision and hearing are needed in daily work.
JOB SPECIFICATION:
Graduate of an accredited Dental Assisting program with a current MN license
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $19.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 â 32 per week
