We are looking for a Pediatric Orthodontic Assistant with 1-2 years of experience to join our dedicated team.
Position Overview:As a Pediatric Orthodontic Assistant, you will support our orthodontist and pediatric dentist in delivering top-notch care to young patients. This role involves assisting with a variety of orthodontic procedures, helping ensure that each child has a positive experience from start to finish. Youâll be an essential part of our team, ensuring our patientsâ needs are met with professionalism and care.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist orthodontist during exams and procedures, such as placing Invisalign attachments or braces, adjusting wires , placing appliances, and fitting retainers.
Taking X-rays, photos, and I-tero scans for patient records.
Prepare and sterilize equipment, ensuring cleanliness and safety in the clinical environment.
Help patients feel at ease by explaining treatment procedures, answering questions, and providing emotional support.
Manage patient records and update treatment plans in the system.
Educate patients and parents on orthodontic care, including proper oral hygiene, appliance care, and diet restrictions.
Help with the setup and breakdown of treatment rooms and ensure all instruments and equipment are ready for use.
Schedule appointments, confirm follow-ups, and handle administrative tasks related to patient care.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment in line with infection control standards.
Qualifications:
1-2 years of experience as an orthodontic assistant
Familiarity with orthodontic treatments and tools, including Invisalign, braces, retainers, and diagnostic imaging.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain procedures clearly to children and their families.
Ability to make children feel comfortable and calm in the dental/orthodontic chair.
CPR/BLS certification (required).
Detail-oriented and well-organized, with the ability to multi-task in a busy environment.
WA State Dental Assistant License (required)
Proficiency with dental/orthodontic software (preferred).

Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
