Job Description
Primary duties
â Performing Adult, and children prophylaxis including ultrasonic and hand scaling
â Periodontal therapy, including scaling and root planing, periodontal maintenance
â Patient education to improve patient dental health and wellbeing
Qualifications
Candidates need to hold a current Registered Dental Hygiene degree from an accredited dental hygiene program. A current Kansas Registered dental hygiene license is necessary. The ability to communicate with patients regarding their current dental health and recommend various therapy options and homecare practices. A teamwork mentality to collaborate with the doctor and other hygienist. A desire to continue education and stay current with current trends in hygiene and dentistry. Empathy toward patients. Organizational skill to effectively and appropriately schedule patients. Monitor patientâs progress and recommend appropriate hygiene therapy and recall. A willingness and motivation to learn and expand your knowledge in dental hygiene.
