Responsibilities

Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history
Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis
Clean and help protect patients’ teeth (e.g. remove plaque or apply fluoride)
Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques)
Be sensitive to patient's concerns and/or dental anxiety to ensure each patient has their best experience.
Take X-rays
Maintain documentation and charts for each patient
Sterilize dental instruments properly
Monitor hygiene supplies

Qualifications

Dental Hygienist license OR
Contingency offers available for near term graduates
In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA)
Outstanding communication skills
A patient and friendly personality
Ability to thrive in a team environment and excel at working individually as needed
Attention to detail while being sensitive to patient concerns
Associate’s Degree in Dental Hygiene
Anesthetic License
CPR Certification
Ideal candidate would have nitrous oxide certificate

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $42.00 - $50.00 per hour
