Job Description
OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing excellent patient care and supporting our dental team. As a Dental Assistant, you will assist with various clinical procedures, ensure the smooth operation of the dental office, and help create a welcoming environment for our patients.
Duties
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and ready for use.
Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during treatments.
Maintain accurate patient records.
Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow as a dental receptionist when needed.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Ensure compliance with aseptic techniques and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Support pediatric patients with care tailored to their needs, ensuring a comfortable experience.
Skills
Proficient in dental terminology and procedures related to dental assisting.
Experience with Dentrix Ascend or similar dental practice management software is preferred.
Strong understanding of aseptic techniques to prevent infection and ensure patient safety.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
Excellent communication skills to interact with patients of all ages, especially in pediatrics.
Familiarity with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance productivity during procedures.
