Job Overview
We are hiring for our prevention driven dental practice in Stockton and would love to have you join our team. Your role as a health care provider on our team is vital in helping our patients obtain and maintain excellent oral and systemic health.1-3 ( max) days available. Salary $60/hr with benefits available for full time employment. New hygiene graduates encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
Duties include taking images, medical and dental history updates, periodontal and oral cancer exams, oral and nutrition education, prophylaxis and periodontal therapy, sealants and record documentation.
Our office utilizes Dentrix Ascend with voice activated periodontal charting and digital imaging along with intraoral cameras and an iMedit Scanner.
Functioning as a team is important and willingness to help out with other office/sterilization duties keeps the office flowing smoothly.
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and assessments, including scaling and polishing teeth.
Take and record vital signs to monitor patient health.
Conduct patient assessments to identify oral health issues and develop appropriate care plans.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Review medical and dental documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
Utilize Dentrix software for patient records management and documentation review.
Collaborate with the dental team in four-handed dentistry practices to enhance efficiency during procedures.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with infection control protocols.
Experience
Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist is preferred, with a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures, but new graduates encouraged to apply.
Familiarity with Dentrix or similar dental software is highly desirable.
Knowledge of medical terminology is beneficial for accurate documentation and patient care.
Strong interpersonal skills to provide exceptional patient care and support within the dental office environment.
