Job Description
Overview:We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Dental Laboratory Technician to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will specialize in fabricating high-quality dental prosthetics, including crowns, bridges, and veneers. This role is crucial in ensuring patient satisfaction by creating products that enhance both functionality and aesthetics.
Key Responsibilities
Fabrication of Dental Prosthetics: Design and create crowns, bridges, veneers, and other dental restorations with precision, ensuring they meet the dentist's specifications and patient requirements.
Material Handling: Work with various dental materials, including ceramics, composites, and metals, to produce durable and aesthetically pleasing prosthetics.
Model Preparation: Read and interpret prescriptions and dental impressions to accurately create models and restorations.
Finishing and Polishing: Ensure all dental prosthetics are properly finished, polished, and prepared for patient delivery.
Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough quality checks to ensure all prosthetics meet the highest standards for fit, form, and function.
Collaboration: Communicate effectively with dentists and team members to achieve desired outcomes and address any specific requirements.
Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, ensuring it operates efficiently and safely.
Record Keeping: Document case details, including materials used and techniques applied, for future reference and compliance.
Qualifications
Education: Certification or diploma in dental laboratory technology from an accredited institution recommended.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in fabricating crowns, bridges, and veneers
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in handling dental materials and tools.
Knowledge of CAD/CAM technology is a MUST & REQUIRED.
Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Attention to Detail: Ability to create accurate, high-quality dental restorations.
Communication Skills: Strong ability to collaborate with dentists and team members.
Problem-Solving: Aptitude for troubleshooting and resolving fabrication issues.
