Job Description:
The Dental Assistant plays a critical role in supporting the dentist in all clinical procedures and ensuring patients have a positive experience. You will perform a wide range of tasks, including assisting the dentist during procedures, sterilizing instruments, taking X-rays, and providing patient education.
Responsibilities:
Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures
Prepare and organize instruments, materials, and equipment for dental procedures
Sterilize and disinfect instruments following safety protocols
Take and process dental X-rays as needed
Record patient medical histories and update charts
Provide post-operative care instructions to patients after treatments
Ensure patient comfort and manage any concerns during appointments
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe dental environment
Take impressions and pour up models as needed for crowns, bridges, and restorative work
Handle lab work, including preparing materials to be sent to the lab and communicating with lab technicians
Collaborate with the dental team to provide the best care for our patients
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program (Required)
X-ray certification (Required)
CPR certification
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
A positive, team-oriented attitude and a friendly, professional demeanor
Previous dental assisting experience preferred
Benefits:
Compensation is based on experience and work performance along with BONUS incentives salary range $18-30 per hour
