Job Description
Knecht Orthodontics is looking for a friendly and highly motivated orthodontic assistant to join our growing team! At Knecht Orthodontics we take great pride in providing the highest quality orthodontic treatment and customer experience for each patient/parent in a boutique, state of the art facility. We have an amazing team of friendly and dedicated employees and treat patients of all ages for all varieties of orthodontic and dentofacial orthopedic issues. Knecht Orthodontics is a fully digital practice that utilizes latest technology in braces and clear aligners.
Duties:
Assist the orthodontist in providing patient care and treatment during orthodontic procedures
Sterilize instruments and equipment
Take photos and digital X-rays
Prepare teeth and place orthodontic brackets and archwires
Take digital scans with iTero scanner
Bond Invisalign attachments and review instructions with patients
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and appliance care
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic health record systems (Ortho2 experience is a plus)
Perform basic laboratory tasks such as fabricating retainers
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
Perform basic cleaning duties to maintain a clean and organized work environment
Skills:
The position requires a friendly smile, strong work ethic, self motivation, and exceptional reliability
You must be able to multi-task and stay organized in a fast paced environment
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
Good communication skills to effectively interact with patients, parents, and other team members
You must enjoy learning and take constructive feedback well
RDA certification - orthodontic experience is a plus but not required
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus but not required
Note: Prior experience as an orthodontic assistant is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates the necessary skills and a passion for orthodontics.

Hours:
This is a 4-5 day per week position with 3-4 clinic days and and 1-2 admin days /week
Admin days vary from week to week
Hours are 8:30 - 5:30pm Monday-Wednesday, 8am - 5pm on Thursday, and 8am - 3pm on Friday.
