Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to join our office and work hand-in-hand with the team to provide outstanding patient care and treatment planning.
Responsibilities:
Preparing and taking X-rays of patients
Greeting patients upon arrival
Helping with administrative tasks in the office such as scheduling and record-keeping
Assisting in dental procedures
Sterilizing equipment and following proper hygienic protocol
Assisting the dentist with emergency dental work
Managing the inventory of dental equipment and supplies
Skills & Requirements:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex health information in a simple way with patients of all ages.
Drive to stay up to date on latest dental tools and methods
Experience with Dentrix Ascend or cloud-based practice management software is a plus
Knowledge of various dental procedures and instruments
Ability to perform basic dental procedures such as cleaning, X-rays and dental impressions
Ability to perform office management tasks such as scheduling appointments, and ordering supplies
Organizational skills
All appropriate dental assisting certifications
Compensation: $23 per hour, 4 days per week
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 per week
