Job Description

OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while ensuring compliance with health regulations and standards. As a Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for performing various dental hygiene procedures, educating patients on oral health, and assisting the dental team in delivering high-quality care.
Duties

Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess oral health.
Perform scaling, root planing, and polishing of teeth.
Take and interpret medical imaging as needed.
Review patient documentation and maintain accurate records in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care.
Monitor vital signs and maintain aseptic techniques during procedures.
Assist with pediatric dentistry as required, ensuring a comfortable experience for young patients.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive patient care.
Support dental assisting tasks as needed, including preparation of treatment rooms.

ExperienceCandidates should possess the following skills and experience:

Proficiency in HIPAA compliance and understanding of medical coding practices.
Experience in pediatric dentistry is preferred but not mandatory.
Familiarity with medical imaging techniques.
Knowledge of vital signs monitoring and aseptic techniques.
Strong background in patient care and documentation review.
Previous experience in dental assisting is a plus.
Proficient in using Dentrix or similar dental software systems.
