Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, proficiency in using dental software, and the ability to assist in various dental procedures while adhering to safety and hygiene protocols.
Duties

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring that all necessary instruments and materials are prepared in advance.
Take and develop X-rays as required, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care.
Manage sterilization of instruments and maintain an aseptic environment in the clinic.
Monitor vital signs as needed during procedures to ensure patient safety.
Assist with administrative tasks including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow.
Stay informed about the latest developments in dental practices, including knowledge of prosthodontics and anatomy.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or similar role in a dental clinic setting.
Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures, particularly in prosthodontics.
Proficiency in dental software applications such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft is preferred.
Understanding of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality.
Ability to perform aseptic techniques effectively.
Strong communication skills with a focus on patient education and comfort.
Knowledge of vital signs monitoring is advantageous.
A positive attitude, teamwork skills, and a commitment to providing excellent patient care.
